Lent is our 40-day journey, preparing our hearts and souls for the death and resurrection of Jesus.
At First Wayne Street UMC, we will mark the beginning of Lent with a special Gather worship time at 6 pm March 2. There will be opportunities for faith building and reflection throughout the season.
Special Lent and Easter events
Sunday matinee: The youth ministry invites you to a special movie matinee at 4 pm Sunday, March 20. We will screen “Son of God” in the sanctuary. The movie is a compilation of what Jesus’ ministry and life was like and how the disciples were called and were taught throughout the journey. This movie is free and open to the congregation. Candy and concessions will be available. We can’t wait to see you there!

First Wayne Street worship services are at 10 am Sunday mornings in our sanctuary at 300 E. Wayne St., which is in Downtown Fort Wayne. You can worship with us in person or stream services via our YouTube channel.
