Local bassoonist Alex McCrory will perform an eclectic program featuring Mozart’s bassoon concerto, a concert piece by French composer Henri Dutilleux, and a work for solo contra-bassoon. Lunch to follow in Fellowship Hall. The cost is $5.

Featuring Violetta Todorova, violin. Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, she started playing violin at the age of 5. Todorova was named the Concertmaster with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic in 2016. She will perform a solo recital featuring virtuosic music by Bach and Kreisler. Her dazzling artistry is not to be missed!
Youth Council will meet at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 30 in Room 115. Congregation members, parents and youth interested in participating in the council are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
The youth will volunteer at Treasure House from 1 to 4 pm. We will sort clothes for Treasure House, the Rescue Mission’s thrift store. Bring cash for dinner afterward at Steak ‘N Shake! Parents may pick their kids up between 4:45 and 5:00 pm at the restaurant.

The DSANI (Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana) Buddy Walk takes place on September 8 at Parkview Field. Registration is at 9 am and the walk begins at 10:00. Brandon Schmidt and his family will be participating in the walk once again – Brandon’s team is “Brandon’s Buddies.” Brandon is now in the 8th grade at Norwell High School.
