First Wayne Street and the Adventures in the Musical Arts is proud to announce a very special concert on the afternoon of Sunday, December 23.

The FWS Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey North, will perform a concert of Christmas and other seasonally appropriate choral music.  The concert will feature a complete performance of Snow Angel, an evocative five-movement work by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel that explores themes of love, rebirth and beauty through the eyes of children and the angels that watch over them.  Quartel writes with musical language that is accessible, emotive, and from the heart.

The concert will also feature music by Tallis, Whitacre, Helvey, Elder and more.  The choir will be joined by Fort Wayne pianist Evan Keenan, cellist Ed Stevens and percussionist Alex Walters.

Bring family and friends to this special event that is certain to be a highlight of your Christmas season.  A reception with cookies and cocoa will follow.
