We’re kicking off the Big Day in the best way: with chili, music, and family fun!
The youth ministry at First Wayne Street is hosting its first-ever chili cook-off on Super Bowl Sunday.
Join us after service on Sunday, February 12 for a wonderful afternoon of delicious food.
Bring a slow cooker containing your best chili recipe or other fall soup (already cooked) to First Wayne Street’s kitchen by 9:30 am to enter into one of five competition categories:
- Young Chefs (Contestants under age 18)
- Classic (Traditional meat & beans)
- Veggie (Vegetarian chilis)
Stand-Out Soups (Non-chili entries)
Please also bring a serving utensil and a list of chili ingredients for our friends with allergies. We can’t wait to taste what you cook up!
Register your chili in advance by emailing Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org or look for the sign up sheet in Fellowship Hall.
Chili not your specialty? Feel free to bring a dessert to share.
Everyone who comes get to participate in judging the chili entries.
The event is free but freewill donations are encouraged. Proceeds from the event will benefit youth programming and missions.
