Jane Heald, a New York native, has been a member of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic since 1992 and is part of the music faculty at PFW. She began playing the cello when she was 10 years old and  attended the Manhattan School of Music, Preparatory Division on Saturdays. Heald has played with many different groups over the years including the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra and the Columbus Symphony. She has taught at the High School of Performing Arts in Cincinnati and was on faculty at the Summer Festival in Breckenridge, Colorado.
