Lent & Easter at First Wayne Street UMC

Journey Through Lent and Easter at First Wayne Street UMC

Lent is a season that invites us to slow down, reflect honestly on our lives, and notice where God is already at work among us. From the quiet beginning of Ash Wednesday to the joy of Easter morning, Lent is not meant to be rushed. It is a journey — and one we walk together.

Whether you are a longtime church member, returning after time away, or exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.

Lenten Worship Series: Last Words

(Matthew 25:31–46)
lent sermon series
This Lent, our worship will focus on Jesus’ powerful words about faith lived out in love — feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, caring for the sick, and walking alongside those on the margins.
Together we will reflect on important questions:
  • Where do we encounter Christ in those who are often overlooked?
How is God calling us to live our faith through action, not just words?
  • What might it look like to be a more attentive, generous, and courageous church
