Our next session of Making the Connection will be held from Wednesday, April 11, through Wednesday, May 9. Making the Connection is what we call our mid-week programming for all ages.
It provides a comfortable, loving atmosphere to adults, youth, and children, giving everyone opportunities to find ways in which to experience God’s presence and enhance our own and each other’s faith journeys. Pick up a brochure at the Information Table to learn more.
Our offerings for this session include a class from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Cell Phone Savvy led by Pam Musick. Would you like to learn how to make your cell phone more useful? This 5-session class will be a hands-on learning opportunity so bring your smart phone or iPad. The sessions will cover the following topics: 1) The Three Cs – Contacts, Calendar and Clock; 2) Favorite Web Sites; 3) Stretching Your Learning; 4) Where are those Photos?; 5) Just for fun: favorite apps, GPS, maps and more!
Youth director and marathon runner extraordinaire Kim Truesdell will also be leading a Circuit Training Class on 3rd Floor from 5:45 to 6:30 pm. Circuit training is an efficient form of conditioning which develops strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination by utilizing a variety of exercises and workout stations. This class is appropriate for most fitness levels.
Ann Carnes will also once again offer her wonderful painting class from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Even if you have never held a paintbrush, you are welcome to join the class – you may discover talent you didn’t even know you had! The Healing School will also be continuing, led by Pastor Cookye Rutledge from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. New people are encouraged to join the group any time. You will discover that healing belongs to everyone who comes to Jesus with a believing heart. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37
Special Note: Youth may join the choir to sing for Mother’s Day or join the exercise class before they join Kim Truesdell for hang out time.
