Youth

Mission

Our dynamic youth group meets regularly to foster fellowship, study, and service. We create a welcoming environment where students can explore their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and navigate the important life choices they face.

Community

Our youth ministry is designed to create a vibrant community where teens can connect, grow, and support one another. Through fun activities, group discussions, and shared experiences, students learn to navigate the ups and downs of adolescence together, grounded in the love of Christ.

Formation

We strive to help teens deepen their understanding of their faith and how it applies to their everyday lives. Our Sunday School classes provide meaningful conversations about scripture and its relevance in today’s world.

Service

Our youth are encouraged to take part in various service projects and mission opportunities that make a positive impact in our community and beyond. By serving others, teens learn the importance of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility.

What We Do

Join us at 9 AM on the third floor for engaging discussions where middle and high school students can connect faith to real-world experiences.

Every Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 PM, we come together for fun and fellowship. Our Gather nights include games, study, and plenty of laughter, all centered around learning more about God.

From s’mores and games to service projects, movie nights, and Christmas parties, our youth group hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year.

Our youth ministry offers exciting mission trip opportunities designed to challenge and inspire teens while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Mission trips provide a unique chance for youth to step out of their comfort zones, serve communities in need, and experience the joy of working alongside their peers.

Our youth years can be some of the most formative times in life.

At First Wayne Street UMC, we believe that our youth – students in grades 6 through 12 – are not just the future of the church; they are an integral part of our community right now.Through an engaging youth ministry, teens are empowered to grow as disciples of Jesus and form lasting connections with their peers.
