Supporting Our Neighbors
First Wayne Street is proud to partner with Associated Churches and the East Wayne Street Food Pantry to help fight food insecurity right here in our community.
Each week, congregation members are invited to bring non-perishable food donations to church. You’ll find a grocery cart in the hallway between the narthex and Fellowship Hall—simply drop your items there on Sunday morning.
Whether it’s a few extra cans from your pantry or part of your weekly grocery run, your donations make a real difference for individuals and families in need.
Every item shared is a sign of care, dignity, and hope.
Looking for ideas on what to give? The pantry especially welcomes:
-
Canned vegetables and fruit
-
Peanut butter and jelly
-
Pasta and rice
-
Canned soups and stews
-
Breakfast items (cereal, oatmeal, granola bars)
Thank you for being part of this ongoing ministry of compassion and generosity.
